Driven by Twin Engines: R&D and Manufacturing

The company operates a manufacturing base in Zhuhai's Gaolan Port Chemical Industrial Park with Class-A and Class-C chemical production safety licenses, alongside an R&D center and sales & technical support team in Fengxian District, Shanghai, committed to customized premium service.

GRT has established a joint R&D center with the School of Materials Science and Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and serves as an ECUST industry-academia internship base, leveraging the university's advanced materials testing platform and frontier research for rapid customized development of specialty materials.

02 MILESTONES

Every Step Aligned with Materials Science

Early 1990s Origin
Focused on the development and production of hydrocarbon resins (polybutadiene, styrene-butadiene resins and derivatives), embarking on the exploration of high-frequency material technology.
1997 Type Approval
Hydrocarbon resins were type-approved as radar high-frequency wave-transparent and insulation materials, entering volume supply and proving themselves in demanding applications.
2001 Foundation
Shanghai Niersheng Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was founded, establishing a joint R&D center with ECUST's School of Materials Science and Engineering. Development of high-temperature silicon-carbon resins began the same year — type-approved in 2005 and in volume production by 2017, laying the foundation of industry-academia innovation.
2008 Incorporation
Shanghai GRT Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was formally established, deepening the joint R&D partnership with ECUST's School of Materials Science and Engineering.
2014 Breakthrough
Launched the R&D program for high-temperature nuclear reactor components, reaching volume production in 2017 — nuclear-grade material engineering capability fully realized.
2016 Dual Bases
Zhuhai GRT Composite Materials Co., Ltd. was founded with investment in the Zhuhai manufacturing base; Shanghai GRT transitioned into an R&D, sales and technical support center, forming the "Shanghai R&D + Zhuhai Manufacturing" dual-base structure.
2018 Production
Zhuhai GRT Composite Materials Co., Ltd. commenced production, with the large-scale manufacturing system in full operation.
2020 Award
"Key Technologies and Applications of High-Temperature Modified Silicon-Acetylene Hybrid Resins and Composites" won the Second Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Invention Award, authoritative recognition of core technical strength.
2021 Expansion
Phase II of the Zhuhai base was completed, raising production capacity and manufacturing capability to a new level.
2024 New Chapter
The Electronic Materials Division was established, formally entering the advanced electronic materials field and opening a new chapter in materials technology.
