CASE 01 · NUCLEAR POWER

Coil Bobbins for Control Rod Drive Mechanisms (CRDM)

GRT participated in the design and manufacturing of coil bobbins for control rod drive mechanisms at SNPP (State Nuclear Power Technology) and CGN. The coil bobbin is the core insulation and structural component of a CRDM, operating long-term in extreme environments of high temperature, humidity, radiation and vibration.

We successfully developed an integrally compression-molded 230℃-class silicone coil bobbin with fully independent intellectual property. Since 2017, it has been applied in 9 nuclear power units.

New-Generation 440℃-Class Assembly

The temperature index of the new-generation coil bobbin rises substantially from 230℃ to 440℃, with a 60-year service requirement. We have completed development of CRDM components including 250℃ ceramic coil bobbins, ceramic sealing compounds, ceramic casting materials, 4-meter rod-position coil bobbins, silicone impregnating varnishes, and 440℃-class impregnating varnishes and casting compounds — with 250℃-class products already in supply.

CASE 02 · SPECIAL MOTORS · INSULATION

Insulation Localization for Large Generators & Frontier Equipment Potting

Since 2001, working with Shanghai Generator Works on localizing imported epoxy adhesives and potting compounds for 300MW, 600MW and 1000MW generator units — in volume production for many years. Also with Harbin Electric Machinery on localizing imported varnishes and adhesives for nuclear and hydro power, likewise in volume production.

GRT is a qualified supplier to Shanghai Generator Works, Harbin Electric Machinery and Dongfang Electric Machinery. Our resin adhesives are applied in high-speed motors, linear motors, rail transit and high-speed rail.
